SO much has been going on lately! I don’t know where to begin. Let’s start with April. April was insane. My husband was away for half of April with his band on tour and I was away for a couple of weeks as well for work, which made April pretty much a write off. Our weeks away ended up being opposite each other and all along we were packing and preparing to move. Overall, it was a super stressful month.
We finally moved on April 30th to our new home. While the move wasn’t easy, we are in LOVE! Well Zach hasn’t seen a whole lot of it yet. He left for tour again about 3 days after we moved so I’ve been doing all that my little pregnant body can to make it feel like home until he gets back and we can start the real work.
This house is so perfect for us and we can not wait to bring our baby home and start our family here. Moving really makes you never want to move ever again. I mean moving usually sucks but moving pregnant, that’s a whole other story! We got through it and are prepared for it to be a long process. We have just been so blessed by this home and are so sure that it is where we are supposed to be right now.
While most of the move was spent trying to help and not stress out too much I did manage to snap a couple of moving day pics!
It takes a while for a house to feel like a home. I’m our first home it probably took about 3 years for it to feel “lived in” and for all the changes to be made. Unfortunately that’s exactly when we moved out so it’s back to square one. The good news is this house needs like ZERO renovations. Mostly storage, furniture and the nursery and it will be perfect! This house is a lot bigger than our first home so we don’t have nearly enough furniture to fill it but to be honest I’m so focused on the nursery right now that I don’t mind our cardboard box coffee tables. It’s all a part of it. ALSO, we have a dishwasher!!!! We’re going nuts! This may seem pretty standard to most but after 3 years of being married without a dishwasher it’s so exciting to finally have somewhere to
hide I mean, wash those dirty dishes. ;)
Now for some new home sneak peeks!
That’s it for now! I will do an actual new home post with formal before and afters but for now, because moving is actually super hard, instagram pics will have to do.
Thanks so much for reading and again, my apologies for neglecting this little blog for almost a month!!! While I’m at it – Thank you to all our amazing friends and family who helped up move. The sense of community we feel in our new house already is amazing! Without the help it would have been 200x more stressful! We love you!
My 26 week update will be posted TOMORROW! Yay for 26 weeks!
